The Newport Fire Department responds to emergencies in and around the city, and now you can join this group of highly trained professionals. Applicants must have a valid Minnesota driver’s license, be at least 18 years of age, meet distance and response requirements and be able to pass both a medical exam and a background check. No experience needed, training is provided. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled and are available at Newport City Hall, 2060 1st Avenue, Newport, MN 55055, or may be downloaded here.
