The Newport Fire Department was established in 1953. The Fire Department is comprised of paid-on-call firefighters and is responsible for responding to emergencies in addition to public safety education and fire prevention programs.  The Newport Fire Department serves our community with integrity and professionalism.

The City of Newport has Mutual Aid Agreements with surrounding communities.  This allows Newport and surrounding Fire Departments to render aid to each other in emergencies.
