Adopt-a-Park / Trail Program

Although City Staff do their best to maintain the parks, it can be difficult keeping up with the day to day traffic flow and resulting litter. That's where you can help! Through the efforts of volunteers, the City is able to make improvements that wouldn't otherwise be possible. Litter is unsightly and spoils the beauty of our parks. When parks are litter free they are more inviting to Newport's citizens and visitors, and to prospective businesses and citizens. By volunteering to Adopt-A-Park, you increase the pleasure of park visits for everyone and you take ownership of your City.

The Adopt-A-Park program is available to community groups, civic organizations, churches, families, and individuals interested in becoming more involved in the community. Adopt-A-Park volunteers remove litter and debris from one of Newport's parks, usually once in the spring and once in the fall.

To become involved, please fill out the form above and return it to Newport City Hall, or contact Matt Yokiel, Assistant Supt. of Public Works, at (651) 459-2475.

The City of Newport would like to thank its current Adopt-a-Park/Trail Volunteers:
